March loves and hates

So I know i'm a little late on the march faves but i've only just got round to doing it! Instead of just doing my favourites this month I thought i'd do my loves and hates. So to begin!

Loves

Firstly, O.P.I's nail envy! I'll admit, I used to be a nail biter and recently i've managed to stop! Yay, go me but yeah my nails are still pretty weak and there not used to being long, either that or i'm rubbish and alway break them! So I invested in this :) usually around £18.90 but I used my sallys card and manages to get it for £10, pretty good i'd say! It really works, and leaves your nails with a lovely shine!

Daisy by marc jacobs! I got this for my birthday last year as its always been my favourite, but a few months ago it started to get really low. Not what I wanted to see! I had the tiniest little bit left in the bottle and I thought march was the month to finish it off, and that I did, so as you can see, i've well and truely finished it off :( I think I forgot how good it smelt! Defo need to repurchase.

Orly nail polish in frisky :) i've only recently just got this but it soon became one of my favourites. Its a really nice spring/summer colour and I can see i'll be getting alot of use out of this! RRP £9.25 :)

Another polish! w7's gold dazzle. Honestly this is the best nail polish I have ever bought, I can not stress enough how amazing this is, 2 coats and you have a full coverage of this glitter gold, along with a top coat it looks the bee's knee's :) great for a night out. I bought mine from boyes, I'm not sure if boyes is just a local shop or what but this was for an amazing price of £1.90. Its so good I picked it up in purple and silver too :)

This is a cheat really cause its two! But I managed to pick my two favourite brushes from the real techniques collection. The powder brush and the buffing brush, both of them work together amazingly leaving my foundation looking its best. I imagine everyone's tried the real techniques brushes already but if not I recommend rushing to the shops to buy these.

Rimmel's stay matte pressed power in 001 transparent! I think this will always be my daily face power, no matter what else I try I always seem to go back to this, I recently bought a clinique colourless face powder but even that doesn't seem to compare. with that being about £25 and this being £4 i'm not complaining!

I've recently jumped on the collection 2000 band wagon and bought the well raved about concealer and i'm extremely glad I did! I bought a mac concealer not long ago and this one beats it. With this being around the 4 pound mark its a steal :) can't recommend this enough!

Mac's chatterbox. This was my first mac lipstick and it wont be my last! Its a bit brighter than expected but as long as I have natural eye make-up on I think it works well :)

Hates

Superdrugs own dry shampoo in chocolate brownie. I heard everyone rave about this product so I thought i'd give it a try. I wish I never did, it does nothing for my hair, leaves it looking worse than it did when I started! I'll admit the smell is pretty damn nice but that's the only thing I like about it.

Lynx for women. When I saw this first came out I needed to try it! i've always loved the smell of lynx and wished I could get away with smelling like a boy :) but I can't so when this came out I was expecting big things for this, but its nothing special.. The smells okay I suppose but its a bit strong. I don't know if i'm the only one but it does absolutely nothing for me! I won't be bothering again.

VO5's give me texture powder. Again i'd heard a lot about this so thought it would be good, gave it a try and again I was disappointed :( it left my hair feeling awful! Greasy and after it was sooo hard to get my god damn brush through my hair. I don't know if its just me but I don't like this at alllll.

Revlon photo ready foundation in 002 vanilla. I'm one for trying out good drug store brand foundations cause to me you can never have enough foundations and I get sick of splashing out on high end ones. I was expecting good things from this one when I bought it but i'm really not a fan. The coverage is quite light, which is okay if thats what you like but I like a good coverage. Not only that is it left my face looking really dry and scaley. I definitely wasn't photo ready.

So there we have it, my march loves and hates. A rather long post from me there, my bad! But I hope you liked :)

b'bye

Kiss false eyelashes

So today, I have the ultimate bargain to share with you! When applying false eye lashes I have the biggest of difficulties, as I imagine many others do! I glue my real eyelashes together, glue my fingers to my eyes and just never manage to get the actual lashes to stick and stay :( so when I came across these beauties with applicator strings I was amazed. I was amazed by the product let alone the price, I snapped up these bad boys for the small price of 96p or something ridiculous, I know it was defiantly in the penny range! They were from home bargains, must have been on offer or something so I grabbed about 8 :)

What you simply have to do is apply your glue to the strip then grab each string and put them in place, hold them down for a few minutes then when you see the glue has dried a little just slowly and gently pull on the string and it should slide out! Once complete they should look like this..

So I suggest if you have a home bargains near you then you should snap some up, even if not and you have trouble with applying false lashes you should check out your boots store :)
with that I shall leave you
ciao

Mac vs Clinique

So recently I thought i'd splash out and treat myself on some lovely mac goodies, I bought the studio fix fluid, studio careblend pressed powder and the studio sculpt concealer. I suffer with mega break outs so I like a full coverage, and to my disappointment mac didn't provide that! :( I know everyone rants and raves about the foundation but I didn't like it and I won't be purchasing it again. I got on with the concealer, it was just the powder and liquid foundation. I don't even really know how to explain why I didn't like it, but paying that amount I expected something a lot better than what I got and more of a coverage, I found it just made me look cakey and un-natural..

With that I thought I need to find something better, so thought i'd again splash out and took a trip to the clinique counter, I got matched up with my colour and all that jazz and decided on the repairwear anti-aging foundation, although its anti-aging its the fullest coverage they have. You honestly only need the smallest amount for the fullest of coverages :) if I don't set my foundation with a power it lasts about 10 minutes before its all melted off! So I treated myself to the clinique invisible blend face powder, which is colourless so it literally just sets it. It also came with the cutest little compact brush which is good to keep in your handbag! All in all after my two purchases I would seriously recommend clinique over anything! The smell is also sooo much nicer than mac, unless you like to smell like paint (whatever floats your boat) but yes, if you like a full coverage check out cliniques repairwear foundation! so good :)

Technic Nail Polish

So me lovelies, today is my first ever ever ever blog post, scary stuff. anywhooo I am writing about my new fave best ever nail polish. I wanted O.P.I's rainbow connection so bad but I just couldn't justify spending that much on a glitter polish. So instead I did my research and came across 'Technic' and wowie, its sooo good, I think I got it off eBay for about £3.00, compared to O.P.I's prices that's a bargain and a half! I'll admit it takes a hell of a lot of coats to get it looking good and it takes a while to dry but once the hard work and patience is complete you have some funky looking nails! Excuse the short scabby nails below.

:)
